Accessibility

Accessibility at the conference: Buildings

The campus is wheelchair-accessible and suitable for wheelchair users. The doors are wide enough, and there is an accessible toilet in both buildings. All staircases can be accessed via lifts. We would be happy to provide you with a student assistant for the duration of your visit.

Accessibility at the conference: Communication

On Friday, we will be joined by the “Easy to read” team. The conference will be interpreted into German Sign Language, German Easy Language, and spoken German and English. There will also be text interpretation into German. Friday’s proceedings will be streamed live online. All languages will be available online. We will be happy to provide you with a tablet on site, or you may use your own device. The university’s Eduroam network will be available for internet access.

On Saturday and Sunday, student assistants from the Master’s programme in Accessible Communication will be available to assist with Easy Language support. For interpreting into German Sign Language, we can help you apply to your local Inclusion Office and organise an interpreter. Please contact our team as early as possible at service[at]KLAARA.info.

An FM system from the NESIS project is available every day for direct connection to your hearing aid.
