KLAARA 2027 is organised in collaboration with the University of Hildesheim, the Research Centre for Easy Language, and the PFH Göttingen, Department of Social Sciences and inclusive Education.
Research Centre for Easy Language
The 5th KLAARA Conference is hosted by the Research Centre for Easy Language at the University of Hildesheim. The Research Centre is an interdisciplinary hub that has been conducting research into Easy and Plain Language, Easy Language Plus, accessible communication and inclusive practice for many years. It combines fundamental linguistic research with applied projects in medicine, administration, education, culture and civil society. A particular focus is on quality criteria and the impact of plain language, as well as on collaboration with partners in the field. Prof. Dr. habil. Chris Maaß is responsible for chairing the conference; she heads the Research Centre and conducts research and teaches in the fields of linguistics, accessibility and inclusion at the University of Hildesheim.

PFH Private Hochschule Göttingen
PFH Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen is a co-organiser of KLAARA 2027. PFH is a state-recognised, privately run university with a strong focus on applied research and teaching, particularly in the fields of psychology, social work, inclusive education and business administration. Within the context of KLAARA, she contributes her expertise in inclusive education and practice-oriented research on participation and accessibility. In this way, PFH Göttingen is strengthening the link between academic discourse, the professionalisation of social work, and the implementation of accessible communication across various fields of practice. The contact person at PFH Göttingen is Prof. Dr Laura Marie Maaß, who conducts research and teaches on social work, inclusive education, accessible communication and the potential of Easy and Plain language.
