What is the KLAARA Conference?
The KLAARA Conference is about Easy Language.
It is the most important international meeting on Easy Language.
The conference takes place every two years.
Many people from different countries come to the conference.
Participants talk about questions like:
- What is new in research on Easy Language?
- What is new in the practical use of Easy Language?
- What is new in Easy Language in other countries?
The conference languages are German and English.
On the first conference day, there will be interpreting into German Easy Language.
Next KLAARA Conference in Hildesheim
The next KLAARA Conference will be from 28 to 30 May 2027.
It will take place at the University of Hildesheim.
Hildesheim is a city in the south of Lower Saxony in Germany.
At the University of Hildesheim, many researchers work on Easy Language.
There is a special unit for this research:
the Research Centre for Easy Language.
The short name in German is FLS.
FLS organises the conference together with PFH Göttingen.
PFH is the short name for Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen.
FLS and PFH think: Easy Language is very important.
Many people should talk and think about Easy Language.
International Easy Language Day
28 May is also the International Easy Language Day.
We celebrate International Easy Language Day to make Easy Language more visible.
On this day, many organisations talk about Easy Language.
Therefore, FLS and PFH decided:
